השילוב המוצלח של קיץ רוב השנה וחופי הים החוליים הולידו בישראל תרבות רביצת חוף מפוארת ובעקבותיה לא מעט בתי עסק שמציעים שלל אטרקציות חוף, מלונות, מסעדות ספורט ימי או סתם התחרדנות בשמש עם אפס מקדם הגנה

הנה כמה מפיות ממקומות שנתנו לחוף לפרסם את העסק שלהם, בין אם הוא נושק לים התיכון או לכנרת. העיקר שיש מיטות שיזוף

August is here and the summer sun is hitting us with all its power. Instead of going on a holiday I found it as a great chance to pull out some summer napkins.
The great combination of almost all-year summer and sandy beaches in Israel has led to a glorious beach-bumming culture and following that, many businesses that offer beach attractions for the lazy and the sportive types. Here are some of my finds:

The napkin from the Green Beach in Nathanya does whatever it can to make us feel we are in heaven by the sea. The tiki bar style type, the groovy green color, the illustration with the palm tree and boat on the water. All is in charge of making us think of a far away tropical island and not really in a much less sexy in real life small town.. (Visit Nathanya and you'll know what I'm talking about)

החוף השקט בטבריה מציע שלל פעילויות חוף משגעות. גם חוף רחצה, גם מסעדה וגם סקי מים! שקט לא בטוח שהיה שם אבל הלוגו המשגע עושה בהחלט חשק לסקי מים במי הכינרת

The quiet beach napkin is coming all the way from Tiberias by the Kineret (sea of galilee). This one offers much more active options such as water ski. There's also a restaurant by the beach, but with that cool logo all I wanna do is water ski!

קיט ושיט היה כפר נופש סגור בחוף קיסריה. האורחים לנו בבקתות חמודות קרוב לחוף הים ונהנו מרביצה חסרת דאגות בחוף הפרטי של המקום. אמי ביקרה שם כילדה עם סבא וסבתא והצליחה להשיג גם מפית וגם גלויות של נופשים עליזים. החיים נראים לא רע בכלל על החוף

Ka'it va sha'it (vacation and sailing) was a private vacation village on the beach of Caesarea. The happy guests would sleep in huts not far away from the water and enjoy a careless sunbathing on the guests only beach. My mom visited there as a kid at 1966 and got these awesome napkin plus 2 postcards.
Life look pretty great on the beach!

A lake, a tower, a colosseum and a cinema (?)

This napkin from the "Souvenir of Israel" series shows some hot spots to remember.
A rather detailed illustration and a rich 3 color print. It displays the landscape of Tiberias and sea of the Galilee, Jerusalem's "Citradel" (Migdal David), the ancient Roman colosseum in Caeserea and then, a surprise. Mugrabi cinema hall in Tel-Aviv.
Unlike the citradel and colosseum that still remain standing in a very impressive condition after hundreds of years, Mugrabi cinema hall didn't survive a whole century. It was opened to business in 1930 and became an important cultural center and one of the most popular hang-outs in the early days of Tel-Aviv.
Unfortunately it was burned in 1986 and demolished in 1989.. Now days you can find a depressing parking lot where it stood, but probably not for long. Another big luxury residence is planned for this area instead of reviving the cinema hall. I guess the future residents will have a nice home theater system in their luxury apartment to watch films instead.
